RECRUITadvantage Launches in London
article
Developed five years ago in partnership with Kelly Services, and already in use by 7,000
consultants in 16 languages worldwide, Australia’s best kept secret of recruitment
technology finally launches on our shores.
The name RECRUITadvantage may not ring any bells, but clients
like Kelly Services, Manpower and Lorien certainly strike a chord.
28 of the 33 countries that RECRUITadvantage supply are
supported by their global partnership with Kelly – the first time
the international recruiter has rolled out a platform across its
entire network, and testament to the company’s faith in the
turboRECRUIT system.
“That a US-based Fortune 500 company has chosen to source
this type of technology from a Sydney-based firm is in itself a
strong testament to the strength of the product and our
relationship,” says Todd Wheatland, Kelly Services’ European
Director - Marketing.
This Sydney basis has until now been the key reason that
RECRUITadvantage is not better known on our shores, but
Founder and Chairman Jafeth Rodriguez believes that the launch
of the company’s new central London office will marry their two
years of UK market experience with the convenience of local
support.
“I know that we can add value to UK recruiters,” Jafeth enthuses.
“The procedures, processes and operations of
UK recruitment businesses, as well as the UK
market, are all very familiar to us, and what we
have to offer is a number of unique, innovative
products, services and features that are not
available elsewhere.”
One example among RECRUITadvantage’s
products - which range from candidate sourcing
and matching and survey management to RPO - is turboVOICE,
an intelligent automated voice response system which can screen
candidates for a position over the phone, either by voice or
keypresses, and score their compatibility with a given role. This
then enables the consultant to simply use the scores produced by
turboVOICE to create a shortlist of candidates for further
investigation, or to listen to as much or as little of a recorded
application as is necessary to gauge suitability for a role, without
impolite premature termination of a call.
The reduced cost and time of recruiting along with increased
candidate volume processing power facilitated by turboVOICE
are impressive, but these are just the surface of its benefits, as the
level of flexibility available to meet each company’s requirements
means that it can even be integrated into specific branding.
“One of the major highlights of working with RECRUITadvantage
is their willingness and capability to customise the product to the
ever-changing needs of the business or for specific clients and
projects; this provides IPA with product and process
differentiation,” says Deborah Brown, General Manager of IPA.
Even turboRECRUIT, RECRUITadvantage’s popular candidate
sourcing solution, offers options beyond the standard expectations;
not only can it populate a database with online applications, but
it supports applications from offline media and voice-based
channels; it is already integrated with major European, American
and Asia/Pacific job boards; and it provides full screening, filtering,
testing and interviewing of candidates, artificial intelligence-based
searches as well as front-end job-posting services.
“Turbo[RECRUIT] is one of the most innovative and easy to use
web-based products we’ve come across,” says John Rawlinson,
MD of Talent2. Nevertheless, also included in the
RECRUITadvantage service is basic training, as Jafeth believes in
equipping clients’ teams to get the most out of his products in the
shortest time frame – so that they can quickly benefit from the
maximum 80% cost saving against having no applicant tracking
system.
With an average installation time for RECRUITadvantage’s offthe-
shelf products of just one week, and of bespoke services just
three to four weeks, implementing the technology is also an
expeditious process; and with 24-hour support and an assigned
account manager, there is no fear of a time-quality trade-off.
“We noticed that there is often a gap between functionality and
customer services in the online technology
sector,” Jafeth explains, “so
RECRUITadvantage have worked hard to
produce award-winning customer service that
bridges that gap. We also recognise the
importance of maintaining both of these
things in the recruitment businesses that we
work with, so our processes are designed to
increase efficiency - saving time and money
- and to ensure a positive experience for clients and candidates,
securing return business.”
Another critical aspect in maintaining the competitiveness of our
fast-paced industry is keeping the technology that supports it
up-to-date - and RECRUITadvantage provides standard updates
at no extra charge, and offers bespoke extras at a clearly agreed
added cost. Jafeth says: “We are honest about the fact that bespoke
add-ons will cost extra. Overall though, we are confident that a
major benefit of our service is its very competitive price.”
Also confident in RECRUITadvantage is major shareholder News
Corporation, whose acquisition of equity in the business in
October 2007 ensures the company’s longevity in what can be a
highly inconstant sector.
RECRUITadvantage may not yet ring any bells, but with the
launch of their London office this month, their efficient, costeffective,
easy-to-use and quick to implement service is sure to
create a storm.
